Roth & Tompkins Textiles, a division of Heritage Fabrics, LLC is a home furnishings fabric company, family-owned and operated for more than twenty years. Specializing in yarn-dyed fabrics, our wheelhouse of cotton and natural fibers are second to none. Our fabrics range from durable, woven textures to luxurious hand-painted prints and decorative plaids and stripes. Located in Concord, North Carolina, our line consists of over 800 beautifully coordinated fabrics, providing a single source for your entire home furnishing needs.
Founded in 1993, our debut consisted of 50 modest luggage stripes, mattress tickings, and homespun plaids. Hand carried in small vintage suitcases, Roth & Tompkins reputation for original cotton warp stripes and coordinates created our now “niche”. Since then, our reputation as a premier source for exceptional natural fiber fabrics has grown. Roth & Tompkins “fan followers” anticipate our spring and fall collections and mid season “must haves”. Continuing our traditional roots, the Roth & Tompkins fabric line spans to modern with a transitional look and feel.
We are dedicated to delivering distinctive home furnishings fabrics at sensible prices. Her passion for design and extensive merchandising background partners well with the design team whose marriage of pacesetting, time-honored and contemporary fabric designs explain the “magic” in every Roth & Tompkins fabric. Our Fabric
Roth & Tompkins Textiles supports green efforts and understands the negative impact harmful dyes have on our planet. The majority of our fabrics are woven in India, employing centuries-old techniques with modern technology. We use 100% natural fibers such as cotton, linen, and wool. We are proud that our fabrics do not contain any azo dyes, heavy metals, formaldehyde or petroleum derivatives. To create our sustainable fabrics, color selection at Roth & Tompkins is very specific. Standards are developed for every fabric and referred to with each new dye lot to ensure consistency.
Creating new fabrics each season is a welcomed challenge here at Roth & Tompkins Textiles. Known as the “go with” company, we recognize that our fabrics must coordinate and merchandise with customers existing homes and lifestyles. Current with the times and understanding that most cannot afford to redo their living rooms annually, our fabrics are created to layer into our existing line and color stories. Through careful research and exploration, each season Roth & Tompkins creates a sophisticated user friendly, coordinated line guaranteed to enhance any home. Toeing the line of traditional to modern, we have indoctrinated a “transitional” theme complimenting all living spaces from a seaside cottage, a mountain retreat, a traditional colonial, and a contemporary urban loft. We maintain a high level of sensitivity to the directional trends and nuances of color, while keeping our “here to stay” design integrity. Our past continues to meet our present.
Roth & Tompkins collections are inspired by various excursions around the world. We travel to the southwestern deserts of Arizona and New Mexico, through the small towns of New England, through rustic European villages and journeys deep into India.
